"If action against the guilty are not taken, then people will lose faith in the rule of law," Deputy RJD legislature party leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan and party general secretary Ram Kirpal Yadav told reporters here.

The RJD leaders alleged that some "communal forces" have started pointing accusing fingers at the commission which might give rise to fear among the people that the Liberhan report would meet the same fate as that of the report of the Justic S M Krishna Commission, constituted to probe Mumbai riots in the aftermath of the Babri Masjid demolition.

They demanded that the Centre should pass the Communal Violence (Prevention, Control and Rehabilitation of Victims) Bill during the current or in the next session of Parliament.
