A new feather was added on Monday to the cap of Allahabad University which recently became a Central University with the opening of a computerised railway reservation counter on its campus.
A new feather was added on Monday to the cap of Allahabad University which recently became a Central University with the opening of a computerised railway reservation counter on its campus.
The Vice-Chancellor Professor Rajen Harshe inaugurated this counter in the Arts Faculty behind the Registrar's office.
Such a facility on the campus had become necessary in view of the ever increasing number of students in the Central University.
Students and teachers of the university who would be frequently going out to different places will be able to get reservation in trains without going to the station, said the VC.
Parents of students will also be able to avail the facility of reservation from the campus.
Prominent among those present on the occassion included the Registrar US Rai, Proctor Professor HN Misra, CPIO Amrendra Kumar Singh and several railway officials.
