Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattinson who shot to fame portraying vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight, claims he is rarely given roles which test his acting abilities.
"Annoyingly, there are so few parts I feel I can add anything to, or that I want to do. Acting is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life," Pattinson told Another Man magazine in an interview.
The 23-year-old actor admits that he is intimidated by his newfound celebdom, insisting he thought the film would be "something really small".
"I had no idea at all. I'd seen my co-star Kristen Stewart in 'Into the Wild' and some of the director Catherine
Hardwicke's other films, and that's all I thought it was, something really small," Pattinson said.
The actor said that he wanted to read the Stephanie Meyer's book before the audition for the movie but failed to buy a copy n UK.
"It's strange because even though the figures show that the books were successful and sold millions of copies, you couldn't even buy them in London. Hardly anyone I knew had read them," he added.
