The Brazil striker suffered the injury early in the second half of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad. Earlier in the game, Ronaldo scored his 100th goal for Madrid.

The injury, Ronaldo's sixth in a frustrating season, comes two months before Brazil kick off the defense of their World Cup title in Germany. The five-time champions play Croatia, Australia and Japan in Group F.

Ronaldo, who had scored in each of his last four league games for Madrid, is expected to miss the matches against Getafe, Malaga and possibly Osasuna.

With six matches to play, Madrid are in third place, 11 points behind leader FC Barcelona.
