At a time when the country is mourning the demise of former President APJ Abdul Kalam, Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday danced with two girls in a function at a tea garden in Golaghat district of the state. After the dance, Gogoi inaugurated a golf course at Golaghat by teeing off.

Centre had announced seven days of national mourning.
Opposition parties have slammed the CM for not maintaining minimum respect and decorum at the occasion.
“On Monday we lost our former president and here is a chief minister who is busy dancing and playing golf. This attitude shows perversion,” said Siddhartha Bhattacharya, president, Assam BJP.
Gogoi later apologised for the incident.
