Rowling to help abused and poor children
It reflects her desire to plough back what she has earned through a young wizard to similar young ones - the less fortunate.
As she finishes the final Hogwarts chapter, the £500 million worth author J.K. Rowling has vowed to devote her energy and her fortune to aid and fight for the world's poor and abused children. It is indeed a vow, which reflects her desire to plough back what she has earned through a young wizard to similar young ones that have been denied opportunities children deserve.
She has been moved, reportedly, by the sight of disabled children who are locked in cages at care homes in Eastern Europe. She is quoted saying, " I can't quite imagine life without Harry" adding that she had mingled feelings of excitement and dread about bringing the Potter series to end.
But she has then planned to channel her energies into helping disadvantaged children as well as tackling abuses such as child trafficking.
She has without any fanfare helped to set up a new charity, the Children's High Level Group, and will be visiting Rumania on a fact-finding mission. She is also expected to launch the charity at a dinner in Bucharest, which will be attended by Prime Minister Calin Popescu-Tariceanu.
