Till a few years ago, MG Road would become the Kumbh Mela of leisure-seekers on Saturday evenings.

One third of the flocking crowd would head to the movie halls, another would wait patiently for their turn outside restaurants and another chunk would shop itself silly.

That was the pre-Kingdom of Dreams era. When malls reigned supreme and were the be-all and end-all of entertainment.

Launched in September, 2010, Kingdom of Dreams has changed the very definition of entertainment in Gurgaon, drawing crowds not only from the city but the entire NCR region. It has become the showpiece attraction of a city devoid of a rich culture and history.

The theme-based entertainment experiences, executed with exceptional finesse, promote Indian culture among expats.

Spread over 100,000 square feet, the mammoth entertainment destination has Nautanki Mahal, a dynamic state-of-the-art theatre, besides a Culture Gully that presents a magnificent Indian carnival showcasing 14 states of India.

On an average, 50, 000 visitors turn up at the leisure hub every month to soak in the myriad cultures of the country in the form of handicrafts and authentic cuisines. The six restaurants and six show-kitchens serve more than 250 regional dishes at the entertainment destination.

Kingdom of Dreams, a live entertainment and leisure destination, has greatly filled the culture gap in Gurgaon.

The place has also become a favourite among Bollywood celebrities promoting their new releases.

Currently, Kingdom of Dreams is showcasing Jhumroo, a popular musical comedy stage-show. A compilation of 19 retro songs from actor and singer Kishore Kumar's exceptional films make for an enthralling experience after a hard day's work.
