He said the government was leaving no stone unturned to take the development revolution to every nook and corner of the state.

"Pahari and Kandi areas needed special attention and officers had to make frequent field visits to these areas for on-the-spot assessment of the problems as well as time-bound redressal of the issues," he directed.

To take stock of the problems being faced by people and ensure on-the-spot redressal, Tara Chand along with senior civil officers and engineers held a daylong tour of the kandi and far-flung areas of the Khour block on Saturday.
During the tour which started early in the morning and lasted till Saturday evening, a series of public rallies and gatherings were held at Kharah, upper Kalahan, Kalla, Kalakas, Barore, Nathal, Nathan and Seoni.

He further said the time-bound delivery of public services would go a long way in ensuring that the administration was made people-friendly and an accountable delivery mechanism was put in place.

He said the panchayati raj bodies had been empowered by the government and functions of over 14 departments have been entrusted to them so as to involve people in planning as well as execution.
