Russell Crowe asks journo to praise his music

The Oscar winning actor reportedly asked an Australian journalist to write positively about his band, 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts.

Oscar winning actor Russell Crowe supposedly asked an Australian journalist to write positively about his band, 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts, in a bid to change negative public opinions.

According to contactmusic.com, journalist Jack Marx was not impressed with the band 30 Odd Foot Of Grunts. He says: "I had expected a lumpen, tuneless racket. What I heard was something far less remarkable."

Even though Marx was not a fan he agreed to prop up the group but then was dropped by Crowe who didn't think the profile was positive enough.

Crowe has now gone on to form a new band - The Ordinary Fear of God.
