Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag are expected to return from injuries to bolster India's top order for Sunday's tri-series limited-overs cricket international against Australia.

Tendulkar has missed the last three matches with an ankle problem but India's team physiotherapist, Andrew Leipus, said the star bastman would be OK to play Zimbabwe and prepare for the three-match finals series against world champion Australia.

"Sachin is coming along nicely and progressing with his rehab, he will be fine," Leiupus said.

He said Sehwag had recovered from a shoulder complaint, although leg-spinner Anil Kumble would be rested because of a sore shoulder.

Batsman VVS Laxman, who has scored three consecutive centuries in this series, said India wanted to be at full strength against Australia in Perth and on Tuesday against Zimbabwe to get into the right mood for the finals.

"Every match is important for us, it does not matter that we have qualified for the finals," he said.

"It is an ongoing process of becoming the best team in the world and we want to draw on our consistency and keep on a winning streak."

The Australians retained the World Cup title last year with a win over India in the final.
