One of the people feeling the most repercussions of Saddam Hussein’s hanging is probably not US President George W Bush Jr, but Jerry Haleva, the man who has played the late Iraqi dictator in a number of films, for he’s now finding his career on a bit of a downhill slide.

Haleva, who has acted as Saddam in movies like ‘The Big Lebowski’ and ‘Hot Shots’, revealed that now that the former Iraqi president was dead, he was constantly being questioned about the fate of his own career as well.

"I have been getting a good deal of questioning about whether my career is permanently over," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

And though the actor admits that the number of roles offered to him bound to “slow significantly” in the future, his career is still very much alive.

"I think it's going to slow significantly, but the reports of Jerry Haleva's hanging are greatly exaggerated," he said.

Haleva, in an interview with a Canadian newspaper earlier this month, also admitted that he has barely had any work as a Saddam impersonator for the past two years – something that he attributes to the unpopularity of the war in Iraq.
