The trial of deposed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and seven co-defendants over the massacre of Shiite villagers was adjourned until Wednesday after a stormy hearing on Monday.

The trial degenerated into a chaotic shouting match after the chief judge ejected for the second time since early on April one of Saddam's female lawyers, triggering an outcry from Saddam and other lawyers.
