Sadhus to take up social cause

A COUNTRYWIDE campaign aiming spiritual and social awakening is being planned by a social organisation ?Bharat Sadhu Samaj. The comprehensive programme will be formulated in the special conference of the body to be organised shortly.

Giving the information, Swami Harinarayanand said, the organisation will also draft a citizen code of conduct for maintaining the spirit of national solidarity, peaceful conduct, economic living and emotional unity of all the classes of people.

Harinarayanand added, the proposed legislation of controlling the religious institution in UP is against the norms of our religious tradition and teaching.

Hence, the conference will also consider checking the growing tendency of political parties for making reservation on the name of caste, creed and religion ignoring the real economic condition of other classes of poor people.
