Milk vendors come to the city from far-off villages either by bus or by passenger trains to sell milk here. They return soon after selling the milk to the whole-sellers or to individual customers. They keep their big milk cans either inside the bus or tie them with the window bars of the bus.

Milk cans kept inside cause inconvenience to the co-passengers while the those hanging outside often lead to serious road accidents.

A cyclist or a two wheeler owner getting hit by these cans and falling on the road is a common sight. Often they receive serious injuries.

Citizens feel that traffic authorities should ban hanging of big cans outside the bus windows. Special arrangement for overhead carriers should be made in the buses to facilitate the milk vendors.
