Bollywood heart-throb Saif Ali Khan has dismissed a report published in the New York Post, which claimed that he had a tiff with his co-star Rani Mukherjee in public, and misbehaved with the owner of a New York bar, after gulping down shots of tequila.
The Post claimed the actor stirred up trouble by squabbling with his co-star and also vexing the owner of the Madame X lounge,in NY where h is shooting for the film Tara Rum Pum.
"The owner was a young Indian. He asked me for a couple of pictures with his cousins. He offered to pay for my drinks and told me to come back any time. He was really polite, and so was I," he was quoted by Contactmusic, as saying.
"The next thing I know is the New York Post carries an article that says I had a fight with Rani Mukherji on the set, which was bulls**t, and that I threw my weight around the bar which was slanderous. It's ok to write about an argument on the sets, though I didn't have one. But this?
Misbehaving in public and being a bad boy isn't my scene. I've never misbehaved in public. Someone calls me up from Mumbai and point blank asks if I was thrown out of the bar. It was very humiliating. My immediate reaction was to sue the Post. But now I've decided to dismiss it as nasty Page Six gossip," he added.
