The film got embroiled in controversy as it was suspected to be funded by the underworld. Its financier Bharat Shah and producer Nazim Rizvi were arrested.
Khan was supposed to get a sum of Rs 1.5 crore from Rizvi; but following the latter's arrest, the film was released through the court receiver and proceeds were deposited in the state treasury.
Salman was paid Rs 1.25 crore by court receiver earlier. He then made an application to the special MCOCA court for the balance amount.
The court receiver had said that there were no dues. Khan then moved High Court, which sent the matter back to MCOCA court.
The special MCOCA judge YD Shinde on Wednesday ordered the collector to give Khan the remaining Rs 25 lakh from the sales proceeds of the film.
