Satyam man quits four firms

TR Prasad, a former cabinet secretary who was an independent director at Satyam Computer Services Limited, has quit the boards of four Indian companies—GMR Infra, TVS Motor Company, Nelcast and Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL).

TR Prasad, a former cabinet secretary who was an independent director at Satyam Computer Services Limited, has quit the boards of four Indian companies—GMR Infra, TVS Motor Company, Nelcast and Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL).

When contacted, a GMR spokesperson said: “He has taken the decision to resign from the board of GMR Infrastructure and DIAL in his personal capacity.” DIAL is a GMR group-led consortium that is modernising the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

Phone calls to Prasad at his Visakhpatnam residence remained unanswered.

GMR Infra is the infrastructure holding company of the group formed to fund various infrastructure projects in the Group’s Energy, Highways and Airport business. It undertakes development of the projects through its various subsidiaries.

TVS Motor Company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange Prasad quit as independent director with effect from Tuesday.
