Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday said he would not hesitate to take strict action against state government officials found guilty of corrupt practices.
The CM was speaking at a function organised by Faridabad Industries Association here on Saturday.
He also offered to quit if any industrialist comes forward to level any allegation of corruption against him.
"If you (the industrialists) complaint to me against any state government official who demands money from you, I assure you, the official will be placed under suspension," Hooda said amid applause from the audience.
"The problem is you go underground after complaining," he added.
Earlier, while talking to reporters at Surajkund, the CM said public awareness against corruption was necessary and every person should fight against this menace. He was responding to a question seeking his comments on corruption especially about Anna Hazare's four-day hunger strike against corruption.
Faridabad Industries Association (FIA) demanded extension of Metro rail service up to Ballabgarh since at present the state government has granted approval for extension of metro rail up to YMCA Chowk in Faridabad from Badarpur.
It also demanded setting up of low cost housing for industrial workers besides preference to local industrialists in the upcoming Industrial Model Township (IMT) in Faridabad on the lines of Manesar.
