THE ‘LONGEST buffet festival’ in which there are 80 dishes, organised by Hotel Sayaji began at its Portico restaurant today.

Addressing media persons here today, hotel chef Mani Shankar Pandey said that the buffet would consist of more than 80 dishes, nine live counters and special preparations by cordon bleu chef from Mumbai.

Pandey further said that the buffet spread would comprise three welcome drinks, six soups, 20 salads, 20 main course dishes, four live Italian dishes, two live Lebanese dishes, four live chaat, 25 desserts and accompaniments. Barbeque Nation chief chef Roger has been invited to prepare Italian and continental recipes.

The main attractions of this festival would be chocolate fountain for children, Lebanese dish Falafal, new variety of pasta and live counters. The menu would be altered every three days in the festival. Special bar counter has been arranged at Portico lobby. The lobby has been decorated in a different theme for the longest buffet.

The hotel expects a footfall of 150 guests everyday. The charges for the buffet would be Rs 225 per person exclusive of taxes.
