SC directs Delhi Govt on capital power situation

SC asked Delhi govt to inform it within two weeks about steps being taken to control the power situation.

The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Delhi government to inform it within two weeks about the short-term steps taken to tide over the power crisis in the national capital.

A Bench headed by Justice KG Balakrishnan also sought to know from the Delhi government about the status of the proposed 1,000 MW gas-based project of Tatas for generating electricity, which has been pending since 2003.
