A 13-year old son of a businessman was kidnapped while he was on his way to school on Thursday by suspected ULFA militants in Assam's Sibsagar district, official sources said.
Rajat Agarwala, a class VII student of Don Bosco School at Sonari, was on his way to school in an autorickshaw alongwith six other children when two motorcyle-borne militants stopped their vehicle and asked the boy to get down.
The militants then fled the area with Rajat towards Nomtalla area.
The other children and the autorickshaw driver informed the boy's family about the kidnapping and they in turn informed the police.
Rajat is the son of businessman Dilip Agarwala of Tawka area of the district.
