A class ninth student has been allegedly gangraped by three persons when she was returning to the hostel in South Tripura district on Monday, police said.

Three persons, including a class twelth student, were arrested in connection with the incident last night, the police said today.

The student of Gandacherra Higher Secondary School was allegedly raped by a senior student of the same school after she was forcibly taken away to a nearby jungle when she was returning to the hostel after watching a cultural function on the school premise.

She was subsequently raped by two other miscreants, the girl said in her complaint to the police.
