Schools to be repaired in Chandigarh

Haryana Government has sanctioned a sum of Rs 77 crore for repair of schools buildings, bus stands and hospitals during this financial year.

Haryana Government has sanctioned a sum of Rs 77 crore for repair of schools buildings, bus stands and hospitals during this financial year and Rs 117 for the same purpose during next financial year.

Making the announcement at a meeting of Deputy Commissioners and Superintendent of Police here today, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda asked the senior officers to take up the repair and maintenance works speedily.

He also urged them to send by April end, the estimates for repair and maintenance works to be undertaken next year so that funds can be released on time, an official release said.

Hooda also informed that Rs 427 crore had been released for Panchayati Raj Institutions and Local Bodies, over and above the plan allocation, for developmental works and added an equal amount would be released to these bodies during next financial year for the same purpose.
