Though the date for the swearing-in of the new Jammu and Kashmir government is yet to be decided, security around the International Convention Complex on the banks of the Dal Lake where the ceremony will be held was beefed up today, official sources said.

All government offices here were to close from tomorrow for the bi-annual durbar move, but Governor G C Saxena has ordered the Directorate of Estates, Legislative Assembly

Secretariat, general administration departments and part of the state law department to remain for the ceremony, they said.

The sources said the five senior officers of the administration who were given ministerial powers by the governor last week have asked their offices to stop movement of files which needed decision of the next government.

Saxena had not appointed any advisors after imposing Governor's rule in the state.
