In the wake of recent loss in elections and internal strife Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray charted out an aggressive agenda on Saturday.
The agenda warns the Konkan Railway of a “massive agitation” on June 30, a strategic move against revenue minister and former sainik Narayan Rane, who has threatened a similar protest on July 9.
“The Sena will launch a massive protest against Konkan Railway on June 30. The railway has given no benefits to the local population of Konkan and has not yielded to any pending demands like more trains and giving a halt to trains at Bhandup,” Thackeray said at the Shiv Sena’s 44th anniversary function.
He chose not to comment on the Aurangabad incident. Commenting on IPL controversy, he asked whether everyone had forgotten Pawar’s involvement in the IPL, as there was no action. “Shashi Tharoor lost his job as his girlfriend was found to be involved, but in Pawar’s case his entire family seems to be involved, then why is he still there?”
Attacking the MMRDA, he said the body had been formed to separate Mumbai from Maharashtra. “It is systematically weakening all local corporations and this is a bigger ploy to separate Mumbai from the state. Sena would not allow this and this time there will not be martyrs, but those who are attempting this will not survive.”
Uddhav criticized chief minister Ashok Chavan’s US trip. He condemned the ban on Raigad fort and dared the government to remove illegal constructions spread across the city. He taunted Rane’s son for launching a campaign against water thefts.

{{/usCountry}}Former Navi Mumbai police chief Ramrao Ghadge and a MNS worker from Worli Pappu Pawar joined the party. The Sena announced the formation of two bodies, Sena Chitrapat and TV Sena and Retired Police and Civil Servants Sena.
Media boycott
The party’s poor management was reflected at the anniversary function after Shiv Sainiks who threatened to teach journalists a lesson in Sena style heckled the media down due to lack of separate seating arrangement. The media then boycotted the function. Senior party leaders Vinayak Raut, Anil Desai, Sweta Parulkar and student’s wing president Abhijit Panse came to the street with apologies.
