Sensex ends down by 66.44 pts in choppy trade

Moving in between 10,406.43 and 10,149.85 during the day. Sensex closed lower at 10,226.78.

In choppy trade, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark, Sensex, closed down by over 66 points on Tuesday on account of selling by funds and retail investors.

The BSE 30-shares sensitive index closed 66.44 points lower at 10,226.78 points. It moved between 10,406.43 and 10,149.85 points during the day.

Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty fell by 13.90 points at 2,993.65 points. It touched a low of 2,967.95 points earlier in the day.
