Sensex gains 236 pts in early trade

Snapping the 4-day long bearish trend, the benchmark index surges on the onset of business at BSE on revival of buying by funds and general investors.

Snapping the four day long bearish trend, the benchmark Sensex surged over 236 points on Thursday on the onset of business at the Bombay Stock Exchange on revival of buying by funds and general investors.

The Sensex which was passing through a bearish face for the last four trading session rebounded by 236.78 at 14,246.68 in first five minutes of trading.

The markets recovered as funds and general investors resorted to buy heavy weight stocks at their prevailing low levels.

In a similar manner the National Stock Exchange Nifty rose by 71.00 points at 4118.10.
