After mainstream political parties, it was the two main separatist leaders who denied the claims made by former RA&W chief AS Dulat, saying he is trying to create confusion among the separatist ranks.
While terming the revelations of Dulat about the Kashmiri leadership in his new book "a bundle of lies,'' the All Parties Hurriyat Conference in a statement said that "to remain in the news even after retirement, Dulat has written a book based on absolute lies. He has actually again tried to utilise his professional skills to create confusion, untrustworthiness and chaos.''
Dulat had said, "The PDP was a creation of hardline Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani together with PDP patron and chief minsiter Mufti Mohammad Sayeed."
"The PDP is not the creation of Geelani Sahab but it was set up by the Indian secret agencies and the Hurriyat has got this information from the reliable sources that the decision regarding the creation of this party was taken at the residence of a top IB officer,'' Hurriyat Conference said in a statement.
"Dulat during his service as an RA&W chief tried his best to meet Geelani Sahab but his desire could not mature and he left defeated. And, now he has given vent to his anger and fabricated about Geelani Sahab that he helped in making the PDP,'' the Hurriyat spokesman said.

{{/usCountry}}The Hurriyat has also come out in support of Hizb chief Syed Salahuddin saying, Dulat is "trying to damage leadership in Kashmir." The Hurriyat also denied that the PDP came to power in 2014 elections with the help of Geelani.
Meanwhile, Dulat's statements about Valley's head cleric and chairman of moderate conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq were also denied by the amalgam.
"The assertions made by former RA&W chief AS Dulat that Mirwaiz is an ambitious person but fears Pakistan, are totally baseless."
"Hurriyat's stand is clear that Kashmir issue has to be either resolved by implementing the United Nations resolutions or through a tripartite dialogue with active involvement of people of Kashmir," said a Hurriyat (M) spokesman.
