Vikas was killed in Bairdand village late on Wednesday, allegedly by 22-year-old Balakram, who wanted to take revenge against the child's uncle.

The victim's uncle had married Balakram's sister and then left her, District Superintendent of Police OP Pal told IANS on phone. Koria is about 450 km from state capital Raipur.

Pal said Balakram had been arrested.
