Several metallic parts, used in AK 47 rifles, were found in two polythene bags under a flyover in Massoorie police station area in the district's rural belt, police said.

"The weapon parts, numbering about 60, had markings in Chinese language," Superintendent of Police (Rural) M M Beg said.

The seized parts have been kept in Massoorie police station, he said, adding, "The matter is serious one."

Senior officials in Uttar Pradesh and central intelligence agencies have been informed about the seizure, he said.
