In response to separate RTI queries filed since January 2011, each Huda division has said the private township located along the Sohna Road does not come under its jurisdiction.

In February 2011, the first response from division 3 said the matter pertained to division 2, which referred the matter in August 2011 to division 5.

But in October 2011, division 5 said that no sewage connection has been granted to Malibu Towne and referred the matter to division 2, which in its latest reply on March 5, 2012 has referred the matter to division 6, said RTI applicant Raman Sharma. In all four applications, he had sought to know whether Malibu Towne has authorised sewerage connections or not.

"It seems that officials try to shield private builders who dispose sewage water in the open or in the master sewer lines without obtaining permission from Huda," said Sharma.

But the developers told Hindustan Times that the colony has got sewerage connection from Huda last year.

"We had applied way back in 2003 but got connections eight years later," said SC Sharma, general manager, Malibu Towne Estates Private Limited.

The builder's claim, however, does not corroborate with the response of Huda's division 5. "I have no idea whether Malibu Towne has sewage connections. This township was set up 20 years ago and division 5 came into inception in 2006. Earlier it was under division 2," said SK Seokand, executive engineer, Huda division 5.
