The porn industry and highend electronics technology are holed up together this week in Las Vegas at the Sand Expo Convention Centre.
So as you walk out of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), you run into a bevy of porn actresses in non-existent outfits. Congrats, you've just discovered the Adult Entertainment Expo, which is on next door.
Hundreds of porn producers have set up stalls (both shows are held together every year) with actresses posing alongside their nude photographs, signing autographs and chatting up visitors. The queue for tickets is long and towards the end, the adult expo all but overshadows the CES itself.
It's a mad scene. Husbands pose with the girls while wives click away and visitors plead with the actresses to reveal just a little more (live exposure is banned, though the borders often get blurred). However, porn movies can be played and all varieties are on show. In fact, porn has been a big driver for TV, DVD and internet technologies on display at CES.
Walk downstairs and you see sex toy demonstrations. A 20-something model straddles a 60-plus visitor on a couch that hangs from a spring just for a little demo.
Meet Brooke Force, who acted in 250 porn movies last year. "It would be cool to enter mainstream cinema some day, but otherwise I'm happy," she says.
