Anushka is on an exclusive contract with Yash Raj and this will be her second release. This is also Shahid's second film with the YRF banner. The actor had earlier signed a Yash Raj movie Hadippa with Rani Mukherji.

A source from the industry reveals, "The untitled film will be directed by actor Parmeet Sethi, and he has also penned the script, which has impressed Aditya Chopra immensely."
