The board at its meeting held on September 6 appointed Das, Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu (Industries Department) as the additional director, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Shares of Neyveli, a lignite mining and lignite-based power generating company, closed at Rs 66.15 on the BSE on Friday, up 1.93 per cent.
