This seriously hip Mediterranean lounge bar with stark white walls, brilliant cream candles and muslin curtains is definitely the city's most happening nightspot, where you're most likely to run into some Page 3 Person or the other. But the Lebanese-Mediterranean menu needs some tweaking, for we have had better Shish Touk, Tabouleh and Paella at other places. But then, this is the place where the atmosphere, the music and the drinks (including a decent wine list) score over food, so go there to spend a long time soaking in the sights and sounds. Do make reservations, because those who're already in don't leave in a hurry. There's no cover charge, and though Shalom is open for lunch, there's no buffet or kitty party packages.
