Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee chief Anil Kumar Sharma on Thursday hit out at leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley for making unsavoury remarks against the AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi.
In a retort to Jaitley's comments against Rahul Gandhi that he (Gandhi) has emerged as a national leader of the grand old party only on the basis of his lineage, Sharma said that even the kin of BJP leaders like Vasudhara Raje Scindia, Rajnath Singh and Jaswant Singh were contesting and winning elections.
Responding to Jaitley's proclamations that the BJP was the only nationalist party that did not believe in vote bank politics, Sharma reminded him that the BJP had tied up with communal outfits like Shiv Sena and regional parties like Akali Dal, Telugu Desam , Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) in the past to secure votes.
Referring to AICC general secretary and in-charge Bihar affairs, Jagdish Tytler's involvement in the 1984 anti Sikh riots, Sharma said Tytler had resigned from the Union cabinet after his name figured in connection with the riots.

{{/usCountry}}Sharma accussed the non Congress parties, particularly the RJD and JD(U), of denying the youth in Bihar a chance to enter the electoral process and said that +they are the true enemies of democracy+. He said that RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad, who is involved in multi crore fodder scam and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, whom Sharma accused of practising caste politics, had no moral right to criticse Rahul Gandhi's two day visit to the state.
Sharma said that Rahul's succesful interaction with the youth, during which they showed an eagerness to join the Youth Congress, "had sent shivers down the spine of the RJD , LJP and JD(U)."
