Short circuit at Modi's fast venue

There was a minor short circuit near the main entrance of the Gujarat University Conventional Centre, just beside the stage where Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi was holding a three-day fast, Fire Brigade officials said today.

Some sparks were seen due to the short circuit which was immediately attended to and doused by the fire officials present at the venue, they said.

Nobody was injured in the incident, police said.

A number of leaders from the BJP and its allies were present at the venue.
