Abducted villagers escape from dacoits

THREE VILLAGERS, abducted by notorious dacoit Malthu-Badam gang recently, escaped from dacoits’ clutches on Monday. The gang abducted them from Ukaila village under Amola police station on Friday last. On Monday, when the gang members were resting near Manikhera dam area, Kallu Kushwah (17), one of the abducted persons, escaped from there and reached Satanwara police station.

Based on his information, Satanwara police reached there and chased the dacoits. Taking advantage of the situation, other two persons Suresh Gadaria and Chandrapal also escaped from there. The dacoits however managed to flee. (Agencies)

Widow stabbed to death

UNIDENTIFIED MISCREANTS stabbed to death an elderly woman in Mandsaur last night. A widow Roopkunwar Patidar (60) was alone when miscreants barged into her house and killed her. They stabbed her repeatedly and escaped after she died. The miscreants did not steal anything and police suspected that a property dispute could be the reason behind her murder. Police have registered a case under Section 302 of IPC and further investigations were on. (HTC)
