The Valley's young photographers displayed their work at a photography exhibition organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Ski and Mountaineering Association (JKSMA) here on Thursday to mark International Mountain Day.
The exhibition, on the theme of 'Art Surpassing its Boundary', showcased several rare pictures of the unexplored scenic beauty of Kashmir, which were praised by art lovers and other visitors.
Srinagar deputy commissioner Farooq Ahmed Shah was the chief guest at the function, organised at a private hotel near Boulevard in Srinagar.
Shah congratulated and appreciated the work of the photographers.
JKSMA president Muhammad Yusuf said, "Every year, we invite young and talented photographers of the Valley to exhibit rare nature-themed photographs."
"Art has no boundary. If we set a boundary for it, it will become science, and will lose its essence," said Saqib Majeed, one of the participants.
He added that events like this provided a platform to young photographers of the Valley. "Art is an impression of imagination sparked by the soul," said Saqib.
Adil Majeed, another participant, said, "Interacting with various photographers and seeing their work helps us to improve our own work. We have come here to get encouragement, and if people buy our photographs, it will give boost our morale."

{{/usCountry}}Participant Adil Reshi said, "There should be no boundary for artists. Everyone shall be allowed to showcase their work without any obstacles, and there should be no rule or law for artists."
Other participants included Waseem Andrabi, Basit Ali, Muhammad Azam, Shams ul Haq, Sofi Nabeel, Danish Matto, Shanwaz Bhatt, Tahzeem Rasool, Saqib Majeed, Adil Majeed and Adil Reshi.
