Simi Garewal has been roped in for a special appearance in Anil Kapoor -produced, Neeraj Vohra -directed Shortkut.
The sequence was shot at the Famous studio on Friday. Garewal played the role that she is identified with by today's generation - of the telly-anchor of the show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal.
In the film, she is shown to be in conversation with one of the film's actors, Arshad Warsi.
One day
The cast is toplined by Akshaye Khanna. Garewal, who has not appeared on the big screen for years, was convinced by Anil Kapoor to participate in the film with a one-day shoot.
Last year, Garewal was to return to the movies in a project to be directed by the Chennai-based Revathy. It didn't happen.
Recently seen on television on NDTV Imagine's Shava Shava, with Karan Johar, the actress is likely to return to the box with a revival of the Rendezvous series.
