Sirsa woman raped by kin

A widow has been allegedly raped by her father-in-law and brother-in-law in Ali-Mohammad village of the district, police have said. On a complaint of the 35-year-old victim, the police have registered a case against father-in-law Maniram and brother-in-law Dolatram.

The victim alleged that the accused had committed the crime last week when she was alone at home. They threatened to kill her if she told anybody about the incident. The accused have been booked under Sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), said Chopta station house officer (SHO) Jagdish Rai.
