She is aged six. She had been raped a fortnight ago. But she knows nothing about the nature of the crime. The girl was allegedly raped in the premises of a school in the Daryaganj area of central Delhi, police said.
The girl on Saturday complained that she was suffering from an infection in her private parts, police said. The child was taken to a nearby hospital where it was confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted.
The girl told the police she was allegedly raped on August 5 inside the school premises.
“Though she was raped a fortnight ago she complained about the infection on Saturday. The victim could not understand she had been raped, it was only when we counselled her we got to know about the incident,” said Jaspal Singh, DCP (central).
The girl told the police the man who reportedly raped her was around of 40-45 years and she would be able to recognise him. A case of rape has been lodged at the Daryaganj police station.
