NV Chauhan and Balkrishna Choube on Monday filed a plea in the court of additional chief judicial magistrate AY Dave who scheduled the next hearing on May 6.

In their application, the duo said that they fear for their lives in other parts of the jail.

They contended that they feel safe in the Sardar barrack since the suspended IPS officer DG Vanzara, a prime accused in the case with Z category security is lodged there.

The duo filed the application after the jail authorities informed them that they would be transferred to some other barrack in the jail.

They have also asked for direction to the jail authorities for status quo to be maintained till their application is disposed off.
