Sonia, Advani to campaign in last phase of J-K polls

Campaigning for the seventh and last phase of the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls will reach a crescendo, with top leaders schedule to campaign in the border state from Saturday.

BJP's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani, who will be visiting the state for the first time during the ongoing elections, will address rallies in Jammu and Samba districts on Saturday, BJP leaders said.

UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi will address a rally in support of the party candidates in R S Pura belt of Jammu district on December 21, J and K Pradesh Congress Committee leaders said on Friday.

Gandhi, who had already campaigned in earlier phases of electioneering, would be focusing on the border seats of R S Pura, Suchetgarh and Bishnah, this time, they said.

Besides the two leaders, Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav and general secretary Amar Singh will address rallies at Vijaypur and R S Pura assembly segments on December 21.
