Sonia at her fiery best!

The way she walked, talked and attempted to mingle with the people on Tuesday at party’s election rally in Uttarakhand, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, at no point in her hour-long stay showed the signs of being seriously ill some 4-5 months back.

The way she walked, talked and attempted to mingle with the people on Tuesday at party’s election rally in Uttarakhand, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, at no point in her hour-long stay showed the signs of being seriously ill some 4-5 months back.

Clad in cosy woollen suit with beautiful thick high neck, she looked quite fresh and agile on the stage, amid cheers from thousands of people who had converged at Litho Press Ground in Roorkee from nearby assembly constituencies. Not only the appearance, Congress president was as swift in her walk as she used to be in her pre-surgery days.

As she dropped from her well-guarded Tata Safari, Sonia Gandhi immediately rushed towards the high rise stage set up for her public address, after a brief introduction with the party leaders who had queued up to greet their president at the rally ground. The Congress president climbed up the stairs briskly with same pace as in the past. She was as aggressive in her public address as before. She put forward her allegations against the state’s BJP government as emphatically as she did before her surgery in the month of August. Her ranting pitch was at its best while condemning the scams and ill governance during the five-year regime of the BJP government in the state.
