Gandhi and Patil saw the spot where the blast took place soon after arriving from Delhi.

Later, the two leaders visited the Benaras Hindu University Hospital where the injured are undergoing treatment.

Gandhi and Patil are here to make a first hand assessment of the explosion that also rocked the cantonment railway station and the situation arising out of the incidents.
