Union Minister for Child and Women Development Renuka Chaudhary on Saturday said Congress would stand to gain by Sonia Gandhi's resignation from Lok Sabha in the wake of the office of profit controversy.

Chaudhary, who was in Lucknow to attend a seminar, told reporters that Congress party would be benefited all over the state by the atmosphere in Rae Bareli bypoll.
Speaking at the seminar, UPCC President Salman Khursheed later exhorted party workers to be 'aggressive'.
"Attack on Sonia Gandhi is an attack on the party," he added.
