Congress President Sonia Gandhi would soon undertake a three-day campaigning tour of Madhya Pradesh in view of the December 1 Assembly elections in the state.

The detailed programme was being chalked out by Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and State Congress Committee President Radhakishan Malviya, the party sources told.
The sources said Singh and other senior party leaders were making efforts to persuade Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to visit a few places and address election meetings, to "boost Congress' prospects".
Samajwadi Party supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and Rashtriya Janada Dal Chief Laloo Prasad Yadav were also likely to visit Mahakoshal region to address election meetings in support of their party candidates.
