Another group, World Kashmir Students Organisation — mostly of students and professionals —has called for a march to Sopore on Sunday to protest the killings.
Hardline faction chief Syed Ali shah Geelani, meanwhile, has called for a shutdown in Sopore town and protest after Friday prayers in the entire Valley on Friday.
In a press statement on Thursday he called the killings of the two “innocent girls barbaric”.
