"I think a very reluctant government which desperately for the last 10-15 days tried to install a minority government in power and keep the majority in opposition has finally yielded to a popular public opinion," party general secretary Arun Jaitley said in New Delhi on Friday night.

"This is a victory of popular public opinion in India, its a victory of the constitutional norms that we must have only a majority in governance and I think it is a great relief that after all efforts and public opinion, a reluctant government is finally yielding in," he said.

Jaitley said Arjun Munda would prove his majority on the floor of the House as the NDA has already demonstrated that it has majority in the Assembly.
